We're never too young to learn about the true meaning of Easter and what better way to grasp God's plan and purpose with the cross than by song. Awesome Cutlery have written an excellent explanation of the lead up to Easter and what happened after Jesus died on the cross - Lucy

In Genesis we have been looking forward to the fulfilment of God's promises and ultimately the resurrection through Joseph's story. I thought of this piece when Alex preached on Jacob leaning on his staff, looking towards the promise land - Cat

In C.S. Lewis’ writing, we see the concept of the Shadowlands, the sense that there is something more to this life, that the shadows are passing. In the film of Lewis’ life, there is a striking quote from his wife, Joy, “We can’t have the happiness of yesterday without the pain of today”. It’s the realisation that we live in a broken world, which has its mercies but also has its tragedies. That sometimes suffering is required to bring happiness in this time or another. The song Sunrise is set in the silence, the moment between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. It recognises the confusion and deep grief that a dying saviour brings, but a hope that just as we see the sunset and rise each day that happiness could indeed come through suffering. Even when we walk through the darkest of valleys, there is a profound longing for a world beyond the Shadowlands - Simeon

An original spoken word poem from David Bowden, produced by Spoken Gospel. That which may look like an obstacle to us is really just proof that our God is unstoppable- that which You meant for evil, God meant for Good. This I feel, reflects what we will be looking at this weeks passage "But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:19-20 "Unstoppable" tells the story of the gospel through the lens of God's omnipotence and omniscience - his all-powerful and all-knowing nature - Cat
